The 12 Years a Slave actress has been blazing
it up ever since promotion of the movie kicked
off. The movie’s director Steve McQueen chose
Lupita for the role of Patsey, after 1000 actors
auditioned for the role.
When she was about to graduate from Yale
Drama School, her manager convinced her to
send in an audition tape. Steve McQueen was
blown away, his 14-year old daughter said
“Wow. Who is she?”
In the New York Magazine interview, she
speaks on her family, living in a “bubble”,
meeting her heros including Leonardo
DiCaprio, Oprah, Kerry Washington and
Cate Blanchett.
And of course, NY Magazine had to present us
with a fab photoshoot. Lupita rocks Miu Miu,
Giorgio Armani, Stella McCartney,
Chanel and Balenciaga.
